The detail

A curly-coated breed from a spontaneous mutation on an Oregon farm in 1982. LaPerms are affectionate, gentle and curious, as happy on a lap as at play, and their loose, springy curls shed only lightly.

Temperament
Affectionate, gentle, curious
Best fit
Families, first-time owners
Energy
3 out of 5 (Active, then lap time)
Grooming load
2 out of 5 (Light combing weekly)

What to weigh

Coats change a lot as kittens grow, and some go through bald phases. The breed is uncommon, so waits can be long.
