The detail
A curly-coated breed from a spontaneous mutation on an Oregon farm in 1982. LaPerms are affectionate, gentle and curious, as happy on a lap as at play, and their loose, springy curls shed only lightly.
- Origin

- Best fit
- Families, first-time owners
- Temperament
- Affectionate, gentle, curious
What to weigh
Coats change a lot as kittens grow, and some go through bald phases. The breed is uncommon, so waits can be long.
