Buyer question
Is an Albino good for beginners?
Usually not: our Animal Library rates the Albino 2 out of 5 for beginners (better with experience).

The detail
The albino ferret has a white to cream coat, pink nose and red eyes, from a recessive gene that removes pigment. Its eyesight is weaker than a pigmented ferret's, so an owner should keep the home layout steady and avoid bright light.
- Best fit
- Experienced, home-a-lot owners
- Handling
- 4 out of 5 (Playful, kits may nip)
- Care load
- 4 out of 5 (Hours of daily play time)
What to weigh
Poorer vision and light sensitivity, and the coat yellows with skin oils. Otherwise it is an ordinary ferret, with the same time and vet needs.
