Saanens come from Switzerland and are the largest dairy goat breed, all white or cream. They are known for high milk volume and a calm, gentle nature, often called the Holstein of the goat world.

What to weigh
Pale skin burns easily and they struggle in intense sun without shade. Butterfat is lower than Nubians or Nigerians, so the milk is lighter.
