The detail
Parrotlets are tiny parrots from Central and South America, with the Pacific parrotlet the common pet. They carry a full-sized parrot personality in a 30-gram body, which makes them great in small homes and surprisingly bold.

What to weigh
Parrotlets can turn nippy and territorial if not handled daily, and they fear nothing, including bigger birds that can hurt them. They are best kept singly or as a pair, not in mixed flocks.
