The detail

Reticulated gargoyle geckos show a net-like pattern of dark lines and blotches over a lighter base, close to the look many wild gargoyles carry. Gargoyles come from New Caledonia, are sturdier than cresteds and can regrow a dropped tail.

Best fit
First gecko, pattern collectors
Handling
3 out of 5 (Sturdy, may nip)
Setup complexity
2 out of 5 (Room temp, misting, height)
Feeding ease
5 out of 5 (Complete diet plus insects)

What to weigh

Gargoyles can nip, and cage mates may bite each other's tails, so most are housed alone. Pattern names are line-bred descriptions and vary between breeders.
