The detail
The Sudanese uromastyx is a desert lizard closely related to the Mali, often darker with yellow or orange tones. It is less common in captivity than the Mali, and imports are more likely, so check sourcing carefully.
- Origin
- Sudan and neighbouring Sahel
- Best fit
- Keepers with uromastyx experience
What to weigh
Harder to source captive-bred than the Mali. Care needs match other uromastyx: very hot basking, strong UVB and a plant-heavy diet.
