The detail

Miniature Zebu are small humped cattle from South Asia, among the smallest cattle in the world. To register they must stand 42 inches or less behind the hump at three years, which makes them popular as pets, grazers and 4-H animals.

4 out of 5 (Heat and insect tolerant)
Origin

Best fit
Small acreage, pet herds
Upkeep
2 out of 5 (Small, easy keepers)
Temperament
Gentle when handled young

What to weigh

Zebu handle heat well but need a dry, draft-free shelter in cold winters. They live 20 years or more and are herd animals, so plan for at least two and a long commitment.
