The detail
Oustalet's chameleon is one of the largest chameleons in the world, a Madagascar species that can reach well over two feet. It is rarely captive-bred in numbers, so most are imports, and it needs far more space than the common species.
- Housing
- Large screen enclosure or free-range setup
What to weigh
Space is the main cost: an adult outgrows standard chameleon cages. Most are wild-caught imports, which brings parasite, stress and paperwork questions.
