The detail
Descended from German spitz dogs brought to the US and once a star of traveling circuses, the Eskie is a bright, white, fluffy dog in toy, miniature and standard sizes. Smart, eager and alert, it is a keen watchdog that sheds heavily.
What to weigh
Eskies shed heavily and bark readily at anything unusual. They are clever and get into mischief when bored or left alone too long.
