The detail
A modern American companion breed developed from American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier lines, the American Bully is heavily muscled and comes in pocket, standard, classic and XL sizes. Friendly and eager to please, it needs a committed owner.
What to weigh
Heavily built lines can have breathing and joint problems and overheat easily. XL Bullies are banned without exemption in Great Britain, and many landlords and insurers restrict bully breeds.
