The detail
A sturdy, naturally bobtailed cat developed in the US from a short-tailed stray found in the 1960s. American Bobtails are easygoing, playful and dog-like, adapt well to travel and change, and suit busy family homes.
What to weigh
American Bobtails mature slowly, taking two to three years to fill out. Tail length varies within litters, and the breed is less common, so finding a breeder can take time.
