The detail
Developed in Australia by crossing Yorkshire Terriers with Australian Terriers, the Silky is a small, keen terrier with a long, glossy coat. It is friendly and playful but more assertive and energetic than its size suggests.
What to weigh
Silkies bark, dig and chase small animals, and some quarrel with other dogs. The long coat tangles without daily brushing.
