The detail
A European toy spaniel named for its butterfly-wing ears, the Papillon was a favorite of royal courts and now excels in agility and obedience. Bright, lively and friendly, it is one of the most trainable toy breeds and needs more activity than most.
What to weigh
Papillons are fragile around rough play and can be barky. They are busy dogs that need daily activity, and some are hard to housetrain.
