The detail
Meller's chameleon is the largest chameleon on the African mainland, a heavy-bodied species with a single small horn. It is sensitive to stress and is commonly a wild-caught import, so it suits keepers who already have chameleon experience.
- Housing
- Large screen enclosure, lots of foliage
What to weigh
Most available animals are imports, and imported Meller's often struggle with parasites and dehydration. Captive-bred ones are uncommon, so finding a good one takes patience.
