The detail
A Dutch spitz once kept as a watchdog on river barges, the Keeshond has a plush gray coat and dark markings around the eyes known as spectacles. Friendly, lively and people-focused, it is a family dog that loves company and sheds heavily.
What to weigh
Keeshonden shed heavily, especially at seasonal coat blows. They bark to alert and do not like being left alone for long days.
