The detail
Created in Argentina to hunt wild boar and puma in packs, the Dogo Argentino is a white, muscular dog with courage and a strong prey drive. Affectionate with family, it needs an experienced owner and careful socialization, especially with other dogs.
What to weigh
Dogos can be aggressive toward other dogs and chase small animals. Deafness is common, the white coat sunburns, and the breed is banned or restricted in several countries and by some insurers.
