The detail
Chocolate ferrets have milk-chocolate brown guard hairs over a white to gold undercoat, a lighter mask and often a pink or brown nose. The color is a matter of looks, and an owner should plan for standard ferret care.
- Housing
- Large cage, hours out daily
What to weigh
Ferrets are a long, active commitment with a musky smell, a need to chew, and real vet costs later in life. Color changes none of it.
