The detail
Bred in the Border country between England and Scotland to run with foxhounds and bolt foxes from their dens, the Border Terrier is tough, even-tempered and friendly. It is one of the more easygoing terriers, but it still likes to chase and dig.
What to weigh
Borders chase small animals and dig, and many are escape artists. They need daily exercise and dislike long hours alone.
