How big do Texel sheep get?

The detail

Texels come from the island of Texel in the Netherlands and are known for heavy muscling and lean meat. They are used mostly as terminal sires, adding muscle, yield and a leaner carcass to market lambs out of commercial ewes.

What to weigh

Heavy muscling can cause harder lambing, especially on smaller ewes. They are less common than Suffolks in the US.
