The detail
The Moroccan uromastyx is a North African spiny-tailed lizard with variable colour, from yellow and green to orange. It is less often captive-bred than the Mali or ornate, so check sourcing carefully before you buy one.
- Housing
- 4×2×2 ft, very hot basking spot
What to weigh
Captive-bred animals are harder to find, and imports bring parasite and stress risk. Heat and UVB needs are as intense as any uromastyx.
