The detail
Brangus were developed in the US by blending Angus with Brahman, three-eighths Brahman to five-eighths Angus. The goal was Angus beef with Brahman heat, insect and humidity tolerance for the Gulf Coast and South.
What to weigh
The Brahman influence can bring a more reactive temperament and less cold tolerance. Good handling facilities matter more than with pure Angus.
