What health checks should a degu have?
Degus are prone to diabetes, so ask what the line is fed and avoid any animal raised on fruit, treats or molassed mixes. Check for bright orange, even front teeth, clear eyes and a whole tail, and ask for vet-confirmed sex and a litter record.
Are degus legal where I live?
