The Mexican rosy boa is a small, slow-moving boa from northwestern Mexico with three bold chocolate stripes on a cream ground. Like all rosy boas it is calm, long-lived and gives live birth, and it is one of the gentlest snakes to handle.

Are there permit rules for rosy boas?
Rosy boas are CITES Appendix II, like all boas, so international moves need permits. They are also California natives: selling captive-bred offspring in California needs a native reptile captive propagation permit (a placeholder rule that counsel is still confirming).
