Ask for heart screening, a DNA result for rdAc PRA from the Oriental side, and a full vet exam of the kitten including skin and teeth. Plan on regular dental care.

Will my kitten stay hairless?

Not always. Peterbald coats can change, and some kittens born with a brush coat lose it, while others keep it. Adult coat usually settles by two years.

Is a Peterbald hypoallergenic?

No. Hairless cats still make the main cat allergen in their skin and saliva. Meet the breed first if you have allergies.
