Orange Blotched
Gargoyle Gecko · 0 live listings
Orange blotched gargoyle geckos carry orange patches over a lighter base, one of the most popular color lines in the species. Like other gargoyle looks it is line-bred, and the orange tends to deepen as the gecko matures over its first years.
At a glance
The tradeoffs, honestly
Juvenile orange can be pale, so you are buying on the parents as much as the baby. Gargoyles can nip and are usually kept one per enclosure.
Common questions
How can I judge a juvenile's future color?
Ask for photos of both parents as adults and of older siblings if available. Orange usually builds with age, but the parents set the likely range.
Are gargoyles CITES listed?
Yes. Gargoyle geckos were listed on CITES Appendix II in 2023. Captive-bred sales within a country are generally unaffected, while imports and exports need permits.
What health records should I ask for?
A hatch date, a steady weight log and a clear fecal or crypto test on the colony. Check that the gecko is eating a complete diet on its own.
Ask the seller for these. Documents on Everybarn are on file for your own checks; we don't check them with the issuer.
