Magpie ducks were developed in Wales in the 1920s and have black and white pied markings. They are light, active foragers and strong layers of white eggs, and are now rare in the US, where only a few breeders keep them.

Yes. They lay about 220 to 290 eggs a year.
What health checks should ducklings or adults have?
Ask whether the flock is NPIP-certified for pullorum-typhoid and avian influenza, which many states require for sales and shows. Look for clear eyes and nostrils, a clean vent and a steady walk, and quarantine new birds for 30 days before they meet your flock.
