Common questions

Is it legal where I live?

Florida added green iguanas, every colour morph included, to its prohibited list in 2021, and Hawaii bars them along with most non-native reptiles. They are CITES Appendix II. Check your state and city rules first.

How do I know it is a hypo?

Ask for photos of the parents and clutch. Colour varies, so documented lineage matters more than the description.

What health records should I ask for?

A hatch record, a weight log, and for an older animal a PIT tag and vet exam. Check for firm jaws and straight limbs.
