Axanthic hognoses lack yellow and red pigment, so they grow up in grays, blacks and silvers instead of tans and oranges. It is a recessive gene: a visual axanthic needs two copies, and het carriers look like normals.

What does axanthic combine with?
Axanthic with albino makes a snow, and it is stacked with conda and arctic in many combos. Each extra recessive gene makes a visual combo rarer in a clutch.
How do I check a het axanthic claim?
Ask for the pairing, parent photos and whether the parents have proven out. A "possible het" is a probability, not a guarantee.
What health records should come with it?
Ask for a clear fecal and a negative crypto PCR, plus a dated feeding log showing several meals on unscented frozen-thawed mice. A hatch record with the clutch date and both parents ties the snake to its genetics.
