English Spots need space to run. Breeding for show produces many poorly marked kits called charlies and selfs.

Common questions

What is a charlie?

A kit with too little color from inheriting two copies of the spotting gene. Charlies make fine pets but cannot be shown.

What health checks should an English Spot have?

Check teeth for malocclusion. Ask about RHDV2 vaccination and E. cuniculi history.

Are English Spots good pets?

Yes for active homes. They are friendly and curious but need exercise and space.
