What is the difference between tiger and brindle?
Tigers have fairly clean, even bands across the body. Brindles have broken or irregular banding. The line between them is a judgment call.
Will the banding stay?
Usually, but some tigers fade or blur with age. Ask for current photos fired up and fired down, and photos of the parents as adults.
What health records should I ask for?
A hatch date and a weight log showing steady growth, and whether the tail is original. A crested cannot regrow its tail. A clear fecal or crypto test on the colony is a plus.
