Patternless crested geckos show a single, even base color with little or no dorsal or lateral pattern, from olive and buckskin to red and yellow. It is a line-bred look rather than a simple gene, and the care is the same easy routine as any crested.

The tradeoffs, honestly
Patternless is polygenic, so two patternless parents do not guarantee patternless babies. Cresteds also drop their tails when stressed, and a crested tail never grows back.
Common questions
Will the color change as it grows?
Often, yes. Cresteds "fire up" and darken or brighten through the day, and hatchling color can shift over the first year. Ask for photos of the gecko both fired up and fired down, plus photos of the parents.
Does patternless breed true?
Not reliably. It is a line-bred trait, so pairing two patternless geckos raises the odds but does not promise a clutch of patternless babies.
What health records should I ask for?
A hatch date and a weight log showing steady growth, and whether the gecko still has its original tail. Tail loss is permanent in cresteds. A clear fecal or crypto test on the colony is a good sign.
