Creme Ino
Sugar Glider · 0 live listings
Creme ino is a recessive sugar glider color: a cream to pale tan coat with red eyes, produced by a gene that reduces pigment in fur and eyes. Its eyes are more sensitive to bright light, so it needs dim lighting on top of standard glider care.
At a glance
The tradeoffs, honestly
Red-eyed gliders are sensitive to bright light and may see less well, so the room and cage need to stay dim. Everything else, from diet to companion, matches any glider.
Common questions
Do red-eyed gliders need special care?
Keep them out of bright light and direct sun, give plenty of covered sleeping pouches, and handle in dim light. Otherwise diet, housing and companionship are the same as any glider.
What health checks should a sugar glider have?
Ask for an exotics vet exam, a clear fecal and vet-confirmed sex, plus the joey's out-of-pouch date and the exact diet it eats. Poor diets cause metabolic bone disease, so line up an exotics vet first, and plan on two: a glider kept alone is prone to stress and self-harm.
Can I legally keep a sugar glider where I live?
Check state and city law first, because rules vary. Sugar gliders are prohibited in California, Hawaii and Alaska and in New York City, and Florida and Pennsylvania may require permits to sell or breed them. Some towns and landlords add their own limits.
Ask the seller for these. Documents on Everybarn are on file for your own checks; we don't check them with the issuer.
