Ask for a hoof wall separation disease (HWSD) DNA result. Affected ponies have brittle, breaking hoof walls. Then book a pre-purchase exam with metabolic bloodwork.

Can adults ride a Connemara?

Yes. Many are ridden by small and medium adults, and they compete in adult eventing and jumping.

Is a Connemara good for a child?
