Florida added green iguanas, every colour morph included, to its prohibited list in 2021, and Hawaii bars them along with most non-native reptiles. They are CITES Appendix II. Check your state and city rules first.
How do I verify a het axanthic?
A het looks normal, so ask for parent photos, breeding records or a proven pairing. Without them, the claim is a bet on the parents.
What health records should I ask for?
A hatch record showing captive breeding, a weight log, and for an older animal a PIT tag and vet exam. Check for firm jaws and straight limbs.
