Yes. They do not bother corals or most invertebrates.

Usually one per tank. Two can fight unless the tank is large with plenty of caves.

What should I check before buying, and should I quarantine?

Look for bright color, clear eyes and eager feeding. Quarantine new marine fish to screen for ich, velvet and Brooklynella.
