Patternless
African Fat-tailed Gecko · 0 live listings
Patternless is a recessive African fat-tailed gecko morph that loses the usual bands, leaving an even, solid color. A visual patternless needs two copies, and it combines with other genes to produce some very clean-looking geckos.

The tradeoffs, honestly
Recessive genes take time to work with, and het claims rest on records. Care is the same as any fat-tail, including live insects only.
Common questions
What does het patternless mean?
The gecko carries one patternless copy but shows normal banding. Two hets produce about one visual in four on average.
Do babies show the trait?
Visual patternless geckos lack bands from hatching, though color can shift as they grow. Ask for current photos and parent photos.
What health test should I ask for?
Ask for a crypto test and a clear fecal on the colony, since crypto causes wasting with no reliable cure. Check for a thick tail and clean toe sheds.
