The KuneKune
KuneKunes come from New Zealand, kept by Māori, and are small, friendly grazing pigs. They eat mostly grass and root less than other breeds, which makes them popular on small farms and as pets.
KuneKunes grow slowly and take much longer to reach butcher weight. They gain fat easily if overfed.
The Pot-bellied / mini
Pot-bellied pigs come from Vietnam and are kept mostly as pets. They are smart, social and can be litter or house-trained, but even pigs sold as "mini" usually grow to 100 pounds or more and live well into their teens.
Many "teacup" or "micro" pigs grow much larger than promised. Zoning rules may ban pigs, and they need hoof and tusk care.
