The detail
Ricordea are mushroom-like corallimorphs, with Ricordea florida from the Caribbean and R. yuma from the Indo-Pacific. They are colorful and suit low to moderate light, and florida is one of the easier corals for a new reef.
- Best fit
- Beginner to intermediate reefs
- Hardiness
- 4 out of 5 (Florida is hardy)
What to weigh
Ricordea yuma is more demanding than florida and can be sensitive to water changes. They spread and can crowd neighbors.
