The detail
Nigoras are a small fiber goat bred in the US from Nigerian Dwarf and Angora or other fiber lines. They grow soft fleece and can give some milk, so they suit small homesteads that want both fiber and a goat that fits a small lot.
- Temperament
- Friendly, curious
- Best fit
- Small fiber homesteads
- Energy
- 3 out of 5 (Moderately active)
- Hardiness
- 3 out of 5 (Needs shelter shorn)
What to weigh
Fleece type varies a lot, even within a litter, and it needs shearing or combing. As a young breed, lines are less uniform than established breeds.
