Buyer question
Is a Mosaic good for beginners?
Usually not: our Animal Library rates the Mosaic 2 out of 5 for beginners (demanding for a first pet).

The detail
Mosaic sugar gliders carry random white patches or flecks over any base color, so no two look alike. The pattern does not change their needs: a mosaic eats, sleeps and bonds like any glider and needs the same companion and nighttime care.
- Best fit
- Night owls who can keep a pair
- Handling
- 3 out of 5 (Bonds with time, may nip)
- Care load
- 5 out of 5 (Nightly fresh diet prep)
What to weigh
How mosaic is inherited is poorly understood, so babies from mosaic parents are unpredictable. Care, noise and the 10-to-15-year lifespan match any glider.
