The detail
Meyer's parrots are small Poicephalus from central and eastern Africa, closely related to the Senegal. They are among the quieter parrots and are generally less nippy than Senegals, which suits apartments and first-time keepers.

What to weigh
Meyer's are calm, but they still need daily interaction for decades. They can be shy with strangers and are not big talkers.
