The detail
A partially hairless breed from a natural mutation found in US domestic cats around 2010, nicknamed the werewolf cat. Lykoi are alert, playful and social, and their patchy coat molts and regrows through the year.
- Temperament
- Alert, playful, social
- Best fit
- Homes with company
- Energy
- 4 out of 5 (Hunts and plays hard)
- Grooming load
- 2 out of 5 (Skin care, occasional bath)
What to weigh
A Lykoi’s coat sheds and regrows, so its look changes through the year. The breed is new and small, so long-term health data is limited and breeders are few.
