The detail
Lovebirds are small African parrots, with the peach-faced, Fischer's and masked lovebirds the common ones in pet homes. They are bold and energetic, and a single hand-tamed bird bonds closely to its person.

What to weigh
Lovebirds can be territorial and aggressive toward other bird species. A pair bonds to each other more than to you, and females may lay eggs without a mate.
