The detail
Lories and lorikeets are brilliantly colored parrots from Australia, New Guinea and the Pacific that eat nectar and pollen. They are clownish and active, but the liquid diet means liquid droppings, and a lot of cleanup.

What to weigh
Lories need a specialist diet made fresh, and their liquid droppings splatter walls. They can be aggressive with other birds.
