The detail
A cross of the Irish Draught and the Thoroughbred, bred for hunting and cross-country. The ISH is bold, sound-minded and athletic, with the Draught’s sense and the Thoroughbred’s scope.
What to weigh
Temperament varies with the ratio of Draught to Thoroughbred blood, from quiet hunters to hot eventers. Large, athletic horses need matching riders and budgets for care.
