The detail
The Waterslager is a Belgian song canary bred for bubbling, water-like notes rather than color. It is kept by song enthusiasts and trained by listening to other singers, making it more of a musical project than a decorative pet.
- Origin
- Belgium, domestic canary
- Best fit
- Song enthusiasts
What to weigh
Waterslagers are prized for song, not color, and the song depends on training and tutors. A bird from a poor song line may disappoint.
