Our Animal Library gives the Platinum a lifespan of 10–15 years.

The detail
Platinum is a recessive sugar glider color: a pale silvery gray body with a thin, faint dorsal stripe and dark eyes. It is a color only, so a platinum needs the same diet, companion and nighttime routine as a standard gray.
- Origin
- New Guinea, Indonesia and Australia
- Best fit
- Night owls who can keep a pair
- Care load
- 5 out of 5 (Nightly fresh diet prep)
What to weigh
Because platinum is recessive, breeding projects rely on carrier claims you cannot see. Care, noise and the long lifespan are the same as any glider.
