The detail

Guernseys come from the Isle of Guernsey and are known for golden milk rich in beta-carotene and butterfat. They are medium sized, gentle and efficient, and many carry the A2 beta-casein gene, which some buyers seek out.

What to weigh

Guernseys are less common than Jerseys, so finding good stock can take time. Like other dairy breeds they need attention to minerals around calving.
