The detail
Alpines come from the French Alps and are one of the top-producing dairy goats. They are hardy, adaptable and come in many colors, which makes them a common pick for households that want a steady milk supply.
- Fencing needs
- 4 out of 5 (Tall, good jumpers)
What to weigh
Alpines are strong-willed and can push to the top of a mixed herd. Their size and production mean higher feed needs than smaller breeds.
